My TOP 5 french "rosés" wines 2012 on a tasting of 80 bottles

musical wines
I am looking for « rosés » wines of luminescent pale colors with sweet floral fragrances, punctuated with citrus, berries and exotic delicate fruits couples with mild spices.

I appreciate these wines balance when crystal and mineral notes sublimated, combine brilliantly (fine candy) feminine flavours by revealing a long evolution refined with a full sunny mouth.

My musical agreement of circumstance to match this sensory finesse, relies on a light and elegant, orchestration with instrumentation calibrated mixed deep medium treble tones where the arrangements in the eurhythmy, shine brightly on the lilting rhythm. Harmonious chorus of voices well removed or a soloist with a resplendent tone bell upwards reveals the beauty of these poetic elixirs symphony!

These 5 roses below, have all these qualities combined:

Clos Floridène « Rosé de Floridène »

(90% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot) AOC Bordeaux rosé (soil clay rich in iron oxide)

Château Sainte-Marguerite « Cuvée Symphonie » Cru classé

(90% grenache, 10% cinsault) AOC Côtes de Provence (soil clay and shale)

Château Hermitage Saint Martin « Cuvée Ikon »

(cinsault, grenache noir, syrah) AOC Côtes de Provence (stony argilo-calcareous soil)

Domaine Saint-André de Figuière « Cuvée Confidentielle »

(30% cinsault, 30% grenache, 40% mourvèdre) AOC Côtes de Provence ‘La Londe’ (soil of schist)

Château Minuty « Rose & Or » Cru classé

(95% grenache, 5% syrah) AOC Côtes de Provence (soil of schist)

Temperature of service for these wines : 8°C

A quintet of anthology !

note: 5/5

My choice of musical wine « Wine4Melomanes » pairings :

Samuel Yirga « I’m the black gold of the sun » 2012 (same LP)

Hiatus Kaiyote « Lace skull » 2012 (Tawk tomahawk LP)

I’ve also been seduced by these 8 other roses of high class, where I took a few notes for those who gave me a very good interest:

La Bastide Blanche (mourvèdre, cinsault, grenache) (nose of citrus with sweet spice), Château Romassan du Domaine d’Ott (mourvèdre, cinsault, grenache) (color splendid partridge eye, nose of citrus fruit and dried fru) & Château Pibarnon (mourvèdre, cinsault) (wine complex floral, fruity and spicy in harmony) – AOC Bandol

Domaine de la Mordorée « La Reine des bois »(grenache, clairette, cinsault, syrah, bourboulenc) (sustained pink, rich and complex wine aromas and flavors) – AOC Tavel

La remise de la Mordorée (merlot, marselan) – Vin de France (nose of wild strawberries to a bouquet of roses, refreshing mouth, very affordable wine crowned)

Parallèle 45 de Jaboulet (50% grenache, 40% cinsault, 10% syrah) – AOC Côtes du Rhône (berries red fruit gulps, fluid in the mouth, thirst quenching)

Château Le Grand Verdus (20% merlot, 50% cabernet sauvignon, 30% cabernet franc) – AOC Bordeaux rosé (nice surprise atypical very affordable in the Bordeaux region, realized by direct pressing as precise roses of Provence with a gustatory result)

Cave Aureto « Tramontane » (75% caladoc, 25% grenache) – IGP Vaucluse (Luberon-Ventoux) (nose and mouth identical around the crushed strawberry and pink grapefruit, all in a pronounced pink handset)
