The icon David Bowie, artist undisputed pointed and informed during the 50 years of his musical career become grandiose to the release of his album Let’s dance in the company of Nile Rodgers died on January 10.

Wine4Melomanes tribute to him by performing this unique musical pairing of his last piece emblematic « Sue » creates in 2014 (under its 2 different versions) and wines selected identifying sensuality, vivacity and the harmony of this noble composition. The chenin grape caught my attention with its elegance, originality, his nervousness and his righteousness to highlight the sensuality of the androgynous voice from the artist. BIO Loire wine collection of the pioneering winemaker Jacky Blot and particularly the cuvée Remus de La Taille aux Loups in the appellation Montlouis-sur-Loire just tracing accurately on musical creation corseted elitist Black Star icon. Then the event brings the desire to grant parallel another big name in the same strain of the Val de Loire, the white Guiberteau in Saumur area.

The tasting of the two wines draw with finesse and vivacity to the nose and mouth, a balance of aromas of apple, pear, grapefruit, fresh hazelnut and almond for the Domaine of La Taille aux Loups, with a « plus » of elderflower for Domaine Guiberteau.

The musical pairing chosen the same vintage year comes to underline the beauty of the wine by corresponding with three common invariable parameters defined in both universes following the concept Wine4Melomanes: the sensualism, the liveliness and the melody

Musical spiral consisting of a fervent ensemble gleaming brass, underlines the aromatic vivacity from the wines. The voice of the icon atomizes of androgynous sensuality posing with delicacy on the orchestration of the piece; the arrangement echoes with the complexity and power of fragrances with the combined flavors of wine. The magic chenin grape landscapes in aromatic splendor at the fleshy tasting of these two wines at the harmonious image of haunting music composed by the stars of pop rock star : master Bowie!
