AOC Stellenbosch – 2005 (red)

Grape varieties: 70% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cabernet franc, 15% merlot on a granite soil decomposed in deep gravel.

Allure of the bottle, sticker: sober, Bordeaux style, effigy of a canon of yesteryear as an emblematic flag bearer of a cuvée to the honor of the politician minister of lands and forests, famous winemaker of the 60s: Paul Sauer.

Aromas: a fuselage bouquet of a rare elegance revolving around blueberry, blackberry, cedar wood, menthol, black pepper and extravagant notes of surprising hydrocarbons of controlled vivacity.

Flavors: an absolute fluidity in the taste buds, the homogeneity of the tannins underlines a magnificent suspension of the flavors in the mouth revealing a fresh taste sensation, fustigante of pleasure combining fruit, flower and rare minerality to obtain. A sumptuously designed wine combining the terroir and the work of the winemaker inspired by the image of the great medocs of Bordeaux.

The chosen musical pairing of the same vintage emphasizes the beauty of the wine in correspondence with the three common invariable parameters defined in the two universes according to the Wine4Melomanes concept: sensuality, vivacity and melody.

These parameters result from the bio-dynamic equation of the geology of the terroir, the grape varieties growing there and the know-how of the vine grower to reveal the alchemy of the flavors and flavors precisely combined.

The composition with the tapered synthetic tablecloths, crowned with pianistic notes in sonorous elevation, slips the sophisticated ensemble towards a captivating musical hedonistic world where the black voice « zenith » our greed: this futuristic orchestration is copied with the finely masculine sensuality of the wine, where the aromatic delicacy juggles the modern surprise described in the sommelier notes above. The gustative freshness of the wine rises in the image of musical progression, where the orchestrated elements draw, in turn, the audible youthfulness expected of the southern hemisphere.
