of 5 excellent crus Rive Droite Bordelaise.
(tasted in June 2021)

Exemplary value for money chosen during the Primeurs tastings last May in the company of the managers or owners, who entrusted me with their vintage bottles chosen to tune in music.

A poetic journey that emphasizes the complexity, vivacity, harmony and sensuality of each identity of the wines tasted.

The pieces chosen in agreement are of the same vintage as that of the crus.

The first is located in Côtes de Bourg for Château Sauman and its cuvée Tradition 2016.
It is a merlot in most part where the juicy red and black fruits (raspberry, black cherry), the notes of tobacco leaves, the spices (nutmeg, pepper) combine in balance with the fluid and round mouth entry.

The musical composition chosen in 2016 by the Anglo-Saxon group Da Lata for « Asking eyes » very inspired, is fluorescent Brazilian-sounding to highlight the generosity and roundness of the convivial wine enjoyed.

The second in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru named Château Croix de Labrie also composed of merlot but 100% offers a 2017 is ready to taste also.
A digestible nectar whose deep complexity reveals aromas of blackberry, plum, smoked cocoa, leather and cedar wood to name but a few. The fusing and sensual mouth delivers a peppery finish with extra fine tannins.

The musical composition chosen in 2017 by the singer Connie Constance for « Let go » with chissed and modern arrangements, is in tune with the poetry of the scents and the sapidity of the delected beverage.

The third Château Mangot 2016 of the same appellation in merlot dominating « blended » cabernets, expresses a complex olfactory finesse composed of melting red and black fruits, notes of licorice, meat juice, cocoa notes, cedar wood and more.
The palate is vivacious with well-controlled acidity, digestible like the previous wines, enveloping and long flavors in caudalies.

The selected jazz composition of 2016 by artist Kurt Elling (feat. Gary Versace on piano) for « After the door » with subtly orchestrated evanescences, come to marry the precise and sensual emanescence of the wine tasted.

The fourth Château Ripeau 2016 is a Grand Cru Classé of the same appellation at the dominant of the merlot and cabernets grape variety.

He expresses his bouquet of fragrances in the power and freshness of the fruit, the flower and the precise empyreumatic, in harmony with the mouth with kirsch notes.
A solid stallion who can stay a few decades in the cellar.

The musical composition chosen in 2016 by the English group BADBADNOTGOOD for « Cashmere », like a traveling and dreamy film soundtrack, is based on harmony and the wonder of the caressing flavors of the nectar tasted.

The fifth Château Jean Faure 2018 in organic of identical appellation, composed of merlot and cabernet franc on an exceptional terroir of clay of iron grime, signs a rich and vivacious opus, concentrated and fresh, of good tannic, floral and fruity straightness, a haute-couture wine.
A gourmet spherical mouth expresses the great sincerity of the beverage with fine notes of mocha, black fruits and minerals.

The musical composition chosen in 2018 by the French artist Aquaserge for « Si tu t’en va (Léo Ferré) » where the trendy arrangements « Gainsbouriens » excavated, illustrate the passion of the philtre regaled in the image of a ballet of red nymphs with soft resonances.
