Winetasting at Daniel Sériot’s House (May 2012)

J’ai choisi les 3 vins de La Rive Droite bordelaise ci-dessous sur les 16 dégustés pour réaliser mes accords musique-vin :

Château Puyguéraud 2009

Francs, Côtes de Bordeaux
(merlot 55%, cabernet franc 25%, cabernet sauvignon 15%)

Accord musique & vin selon le concept Wine4Melomanes :
Lee Field & The Expressions « Love comes & goes » 2009

The intense robe is cherry with a beautiful shine of the disk for this passionate wine. The nose of violet, red berries and fine spices harmonizes skillfully with the melody of violins, desired by the electric guitar and the mesmerizing soul voice. This track in the hoarse and sensual tone reveals the powerful tannic structure of the wine, which echos with the strong bass. The orchestration heightened by brass instruments puts rhythm with greed into finale gustative persistent mixing the flower and the fruit. A beautiful generous and affordable discovery!

Château Beauséjour « Cuvée 1901 » 2009

Montagne Saint Emilion
(50% merlot, 50% cabernet franc)

Accord musique & vin selon le concept Wine4Melomanes :
Robert Glasper featuring Bilal « All matter » 2009

Dressed in a dark and purple robe, this wine agrees with the sound of a deep and rhythmical drum kit. The punctuation of the syncopated toms with a set of snare drum supported by an ample bass illustrates us the density of black fruits *, soft spices and licorice which spring us in the nose. The elegance in staggering and meaning mouth of the fine tannic structure of the velvety nectar harmonizes with the omnipresence of the piano and the brilliant voice tuned to baguettes striking the set of drum kit.

The stunt of piano notes in the sound medium drapes the harmony of the wine by describing the aromatic universe in the palate since its tasting until its fresh with magical end.

A sublime emotion.

*black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant

Château Mangot « Cuvée Todeschini » 2009

Saint Emilion Grand Cru
(cabernet franc 40%, cabernet sauvignon 30%, merlot 30%)

Accord musique & vin selon le concept Wine4Melomanes :
Havana Cultura Band « Rezando » Michel Cleis remix – 2009

Captivated by a silk robe with purple hues, this nectar propels us in an imagination filled with sublime surprised such this striking afro-Cuban instrument: the guataca.

Paired by handbook piano keys, sheathed by a deep bass, our nose discovers a floral aromatic draft and fruity*. Musical notes fly away, slide us towards a wine mesmerizing and put rhythm by the percussions  » yoruba  » where the piano touches develop an harmonious melody, supported by a voluminous bass.

The set symbolizing the echo of the concentrated flavors melted in mouth. It reveals the palate in finale astonishing, which conjugates with the musical amplitude becoming blurred slowly.

Luxurious of indecency!  A huge wine definitely.

* Violet and black « licorice » fruits
